And a sigh of relief...

My last assignment was due in today, so uni is officially over for about 4 and a half months which does me just fine. I even managed to sort out some driving lessons today so I can finally pass my test and not have that to worry about anymore. I just need to find a place to live from the end of June then I am good to go for the summer!

I haven't written anything in ages it seems, I've been so busy and stressed that its been the last thing on my mind. I've jotted down the odd couple of lyrics here and there but that's about it! I think once I've got the flat and finished my driving and I can chill out and write something. I'm kinda digging PATD slash right now, enough so that I even re-bought Pretty. Odd which I vowed to never listen to again. Maybe my perspective has changed somewhat? I am definitely more into the sixties sound recently so I may find I like it. I gave Northern Downpour a chance, which I actually like.

*Sigh* I've been so shit at replying to friends posts recently, I do read them, honestly, I just never know what to say. Oh wells.

I may try to update this thing more often, get some fic done and maybe I would be better at it!

I've had one of those nights where you just wonder what deity you pissed off.

I worked for 10 hours (fair enough) but had to deal with drunks all night, I had to threaten to call the police to get four guys to leave, and whilst I don't care what they call/think of me, being called a "fucking faggot" is not exactly nice.

And to top it off, I booked a taxi to get home in, and the guy who turns up is with another guy in the front seat and he just says to me "Get in the back".

Um, I think not somehow. I just said "no thanks" and walked off. Christ knows what would have happened if I had gotten in.

I realise stuff like this isn't exactly extraordinary but it still brings me down. I just want to get into bed and not surface again for the next two days.

I got tickets to see Michael Jackson... twice lol

YAY!

I'm so happy. I know it's a bit geeky, but I was a massive fan about four years ago and as sad as it sounds, this is like a mini dream come true.

I dunno if anyone knew, but you had to register to get a code so you could get pre-sale tickets, which me and all my famly did, to no luck (as the sales started 7am on Weds). Then out of the blue, I got texted at around 3pm and I managed to buy four tickets for the 27th Sept, and luckily my Mum and Dad managed to get two more for the same date, so that we can go as a family (plus one spare). And then my brother got in from work and said he had bought 4 tickets for August 3rd!

Essentially, we have five spare tickets to quite possibly the most anticipated tour of the decade, they are going for crazy amounts on ebay its unreal, we could make a mint!

I would rather go twice though lol.

xx

I saw them live last night, and it was quite possibly the worst gig I have ever been to. It had no momentum, a lot of dicks in the audience, and it turns out their back catalogue really isn't great.

Waste of money.

/rant.

"I'm allergic to you" and other stories

Urgh. My life sometimes comes across as such a weird (and badly written) story its unreal. In the last month alone I have been mugged, had my email account hacked into, quit a job, saved two friends who overdosed on ketamine and had my house ceiling crack because the shower is broken.

I can handle that, well, mostly, but then. THEN. When I fancied some naughties because life was that bad and I needed sexual healing, I develop an allergic rash to a certain substance, that probably doesn't need to be named (I know its not anything else, because it went away after I had a shower, though having an STD would just complete my epic month of fail).

AND THEN. Tonight I was supposed to see the All American Rejects with my best friend who then decided he would rather spend the evening with his latest fling, leaving me out of pocket and annoyed (the fact that I was a bit hungover, and slept in really late from coming home at 8.30 am is irrelevant). And I've just spent £50 on a present for him.

/venting.

I hope everyone's life isn't as melodramatic at mine.

Updates

I wish Christmas would piss off, honestly. If Jesus was truly a messiah he could postpone his birthday so I have time to prepare. Urgh. I still have Xmas presents to buy, though I kinda know what I am getting, which is always a plus. Now I just need the money!

Just finished another one of my essays. Thank god:

Political Theory COMPLETE
Inequalities of Class and Culture COMPLETE
Modernities 0/2,000

And three exams, what fun!

Hope everyone is okay, and a lot more organised than me! xx

Story Idea and Life

Hey guys, just wanted to post this out here and get some ideas.

I have been inspired, randomly, recently to write an Office AU, as I do love them, but with either a Bob/Mikey or Bob/Frank pairing. I've never read one like that, though I am sure there is one out there. I'm thinking have Bob as a manager and either F or M as a low down employee, and well, I've not really figured out the logistics yet, but wanted to see what people thought?

Life is looking up, finally. Handed an essay in today, and started another one that is not even due in until the 19th December (this is very good by my standards, lol) So, my list of doom so far is:

Political Theory Essay: COMPLETE
Inequalities of Class and Culture Essay: 611/2,500 words
Modernities Essay: 0/2,500

Yeah, I have a lot of work left to do :( But I've also already done a speech, and a stupid learning log, so its not all doom and gloom.

Anyways, toodles for now :)

Life Sucks

Urgh. I hate to be stereotypically emo here, but life just sucks majorly at the moment. I can't decide what I want to do. Is uni really for me? Am I going just for the sake of doing a degree? I'm beginning to think I went for the wrong reasons, ones that aren't academic enough. My tutor suggested I go to counselling today, after a meeting with him, but I'm not that melodramatic. Yet.

In other news, I go home tomorrow, for a break from this blasted city. Reconnect with the roots and so forth? I have a speech to do first, which is not fun, but at least I've done it I guess. Still got half of my essay to do and its in for Wednesday. Eep.

I've got work tonight as well, and I'm seriously tempted not to go to sleep. Just rehearse the speech some more, do some essay work, clean all my room, pack and so on. I can sleep on the train, thats not a big deal.

Anyways, here's hoping your lives are better than mine at the moment!

xx

So much stuff to do!

Argh. Bloody uni work. It would be nice to have a day off that actually feels like a day off because there will be no essays looming on my mind.

I have done 802/2,000 words for my Political Theory essay due in on the 26th, which is not too bad. I can get that sorted. I have another 2,000 word essay due in for January (only picked the title and got a book on that so far!) and a 2,500 word one due in next month, which I have done about 100 words on but am now thinking is too hard so I will have to change that. Blasting hell.

I also have an NUS LGBT training day on Tuesday which shall be quite fun, and a nice break from this uni stuff I stupidly signed up for.

Bleh.

It's been a while...

Urgh. Life smells.

My laptop has actually died, which is a sad occasion, which means I've resorted to using the uni library a lot.

I'm back at uni for my second year, which is a lot more intense. I've been reading like crazy (by my standards) to try and understand whart I'm actually studying. I'm mildly pleased with how things are going so far. Though I have to do a speech pretending I am an European MP. Not fun.

I now work two jobs as well. Which sucks majorly. I still work at Subway, two days a week, typically for 8 hours each go, and I'm a bartender too, three nights a week. I need to pay off my student overdraft pretty sharpish, considering the mess the financial world is in. It should, it theory be paid off by December which means I can quit one of my jobs then, and go back to being a normal human being with spare time. I'm gonna have to work so hard to keep uni on track, its unreal!

Anyways. I have been reading all of your journal posts, though I really don't have the time to respond in a decent way, which I am sorry for! I'm usually too tired.

Hope everyone is okay though! xx

Well, uni is over now. Handed in all of my essays, and the stress is finally gone!

Until yesterday, I am back home for two weeks and ended up trekking across Green Park and around Buckingham Palace with all my stuff because they decided to work on the Victoria line on the tube. Twas not impressed.

Managed it though!

I also managed to work on a fic today, I started in 2004, and its not finished. Just one more chapter and an epilogue, then I'm free! Lols.

Saw Nim's Island today, was pretty good :D

Laters xx

I'm sorry you guys have to put up with this, but it gives me a space to monitor progress (which I like doing, as OCD as it is).

So:

Introduction to Public Policy: COMPLETE
Identity and Society: COMPLETE
Running the Country: 408/1,500

So I've managed to punch out 760 odd words today, whic is pretty darn good. I kinda wanted to do at least 500 on the Running the Country, but I don't care, I've done enough and I'm bored!

Getting there, slowly but surely.

My mind is swimming, it gets that way after uni work, lol. I need a drink.

Update:

Introduction to Public Policy: COMPLETE
Identity and Society: 1,009/1,500
Running the Country: 0/1,500

I've done just under 400 words in about an hour and a half, which is pretty good. Tomorrow I plan to finish my Idenity essay, which is very doable as I've planned and opened up what I am going to write, and then do about five hundred words on Running the Country, which leaves me to do five hundered apiece on Wednesday and Thursday, and then I can hand them in!

I'm going home either Friday or Saturday, and trust me, it's looking like a light at the end of the tunnel at the mo, with all this uni work. But, I'm getting there at least :P

Much love to you all xx

Essays, Essays and yet more Essays.

Okay, I may be bigging it up a tad. But I'm feeling slightly stressed with essay writing. Thus far:

Introduction to Public Policy 1,632/1,500 FINISHED
Identity and Society 622/1,500
Running the Country 0/1,500

It's not as bad as it could be. I have about two weeks to get them done. It's perfectly doable, I just wish I hadn't left it this long. There was always something better to do though! As long as I get the Identity and Society one finished with this week I should be fine.

I'm also feeling strangely motivated to get back to fic writing. So I may do a bit later, I have two stories I really, really need to finish off (both on Fanfiction.net). I'm kinda digging a Mikey/Bob pairing too at the mo. Any ideas?

Yeah, Random Entry

So yeah, I did my presentation today for Introduction to Social Research, and managed to get a first, which I'm pretty chuffed about, as my group did fuck all for the whole semester, but no point worrying about it now!

I've only got my essays to worry about now (and one stupid little stats test, but that barely counts).

So far:

1,102/1,500 words on Introduction to Public Policy essay
0/1,500 on Running the Counrty essay
0/1,500 on Identity and Society essay

I plan to get my essay I've started out of the way by the end of this week, and get the Running the country one at least half done by the end of next week.

I've got just under a month to finish them all, so it's doable definately. I'm glad I haven't lest in last minute, though though I should've done more by now really.

Just looking forward to when all this is done, and I can just chill for the summer. Got my car sorted out now, just gotta finish up my test and I shall be away!

Still single nun like (whey!) which is kinda good, cause the last thing I need right now is to be with someone! Maybe after the essays :P

Still gotta sort this electricity out, stupid British Gas. I'm gonna go into my accomodation people on Friday and try to get that done. It's beginning to really piss me off! Also need to pay the gas bill.

It seems no matter how much I do there is always more to do! *facepalm* Oh well. I'm gonna go to bed, I shall worry about such things in the morning.

Night all xx

Panic, what have you done?

Okay. I weren't expecting something similar to 'Fever'. I like different, and when I hear PATD were branching out I was up for it.

I weren't anticipating them branching into utter shite. The new album has to be the most insipid, dull collection of songs that have ever offended my ears (the ten tracks I could listen to without switching it off). They blend into one offensive mess, which is not good. Fever had its fair share of songs you would skip, but when they rocked, they absolutely killed it (Lying is the Most Fun, I Write Sins, But It's Better, Nail for Breakfast...), it says a lot when the best song on the album is the barely average Nine in the Afternoon.

It seems they are trying to be quirky and original for the sake of being quirky and original, and unluckily for them, they don't have the talent to pull it off.

SAVE YOUR MONEY. It really is that awful. It's not even background music I can tolerate, I have to end it. It has to stop! Honestly, go buy some manufactured pop, a la Britney or something. At least she produces music you can dance to, I wouldn't shit to Panic's new album!

I Survived the Earthquake! And other things...

OMG at the earthquake! Was hella scary, my whole room shook violently, I didn't know what was happening! It's kinda cool in hindsight, I can say I've been in an earthquake now! It took me a while to realise what it was, which is kinda embarassing, but to be honest I weren't expecting it.

I got my module results from last term, three firsts and a 2:1, which is cool.

I'm actually not drinking for a while either, I was so ill today, it was proper gross, and really stupid. Really, really stupid. (Obviously I mean alcohol, lol).

I also put glue in extensions in my hair (pink!), just to be even more gay, and they hurt like a bitch when I forget they are in and brush my hair.

So, hey everyone! I do read your posts, but sometimes forget to comment, but yeah, I appreciate people adding me all the same!

Night all xx

Majorly pissed off, and upset... 30STM Suck

Goddamn it. I went to see 30 Seconds to Mars tonight. It was shite. The support band were distinctly average, which didn't help, and by the time 30STM came on, I was prepared for decent music. To be fair, the band all played well, and Jared has an amazing voice, but it just didn;t inspire anyone. The entrie crowd were just stood still, no dancing/moshing at all. They made the mistake of playing the singles at the beginning, half of the people left after The Kill was played. I never realised how forgettable 98% of their songs were. There was so much slow filler, my mind was actually wandering.

I'm so disappointed.

And now my ex's best friend, who I really like, likes me back, and we all know that ain't a good idea.

Damn it!

*insert original, witty post title here*

Ello.

Not sure why I'm posting, don't see why not?

On the news front: got Panic! tickets (I don't care if they've dropped the '!' I shall not!). The gig should be all types of awesome! I am also seeing 30 Seconds to Mars next Wednesday, and shall be surrounded by emo teens (as most of the Leeds entertainment is 18+ I can't really complain much, just laugh over a pint in the pub afterwards!). I do plan on emo-ing myself up though!

Next semester finally starts on Monday. I've had six weeks off for Xmas, which has been very boring (if nice I guess). Work let me pick up shifts on the time off so at least I've been earning.

I'm getting bored with my hair again. This is not good, as this will result me in buying the bleach I was eyeing online the other day. Blond would be a bit extreme for me to pull off I feel.

Anyways, I shall stop now, on this random (bordeom induced if I'm honest) post, so toodles. xx

So much to do, so little time!

Urgh. I hate Uni sometimes. Actually, that's a lie, but still. I have to write another goddamn essay, do a presentation, write up my seminar notes and do some stupid self assessment thingy. I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but it really is in the scheme of things. I have already done two essays,a presentation and two projects last month. I'm just thankful I wasn't so much of a twat to leave everything to the last minute.

So I shall be in the library all day tomorrow, researching for my presentation and hopefully getting a large chunk of my essay done. It doesn't sound like a lot, but that is a lot of work there.

And to top it all off, I have this skin rash that has appeared out of nowhere, and has covered my legs, hands, feet and elbows, and is so fucking itchy. I think its an allergic reaction.

Anyways, I needed to vent! Anyone who wants to drop a line, feel free to do so!

Much Love xx

MCR and Taste of Chaos, and Random Updates

Well, on the 11th, I went to see MCR in Newcastle. It was tres good. I got Mikey, Gerard, Ray and Frank, which was a bonus, it sucked that Bob wasn't there, but oh well. They played two Bullets songs as well (Headfirst for Halos, Honey, This Mirror...) which is unusual apparently, but I was pleased as I fully love their first album. I got a cool tour tshirt, and I sang along to all the songs, and it was a thoroughly good show, my only regret is that it felt a bit distant (as alas, all arenas do, I shall try and get a more intimate gig next time). MSI were good/okay. I respect the band and their music (they did support btw) but it wasn't really my style. Which is odd, I like electro rock, but yeah. I did like a few songs though. I was just relieved Lyn-Z didn't get booed off the stage. Me and my mate saw Gerard watching their set from the sidelines, which was very sweet we thought.

TASTE OF CHAOS WAS FUCKING AMAZING!!!!!!! The only downer of the night were Gallows, who I've always thought were kinda crap, but apparently I've told people I found them okay, which I don't understand why I would, but oh well. I'm not perfect, I lie sometimes (okay, a fair bit, but oh well, nothing major at least). My favourite were the Used, a couple got engaged on stage during their set, which was both sweet and cringe worthy at the same time. They are absolutely amazing live, sounds even better than the CD (it is worth noting MCR were actually pretty good as well, though not the Used level. The only song they sucked at was The Sharpest Lives, which was kinda shitty). They played all my faves from Lies for the Liars (Paralysed, Hospital, Bird and The Worm, Pretty Handsome Awkard, Wake The Dead) and some of their older stuff too (I definately recognised Take It Away, All That I've Got. There were more but I'm on such a high right now, I've gone a bit blank). Aiden were amazing, the crowd went absouletly nuts. Luckily, Mikey protected me from most of the moshers (twas very sweet, I'm a bit of a slim lad and can't cope with that kinda thing). The Blackout and Rise Against were also amazin,g and The Humour (battle of the bands winner) are a local band who I like, so it was cool to get to see them!

I got two the Used tshirts, which are both amazing, two posters (Rise Against and Aiden) and a DVD from PETA with loads of live clips, which was free, which was pretty cool! Scratch that, I've just played it and it's basically bands talking about animal cruelty, I've heard it all before. I like meat, I'm not giving it up!

Only got about 24 days til I go home for Xmas, got a bit of work to I'm optimistic. Leeds is amazing, and I'm having a very good night.

Much Love bitches, and I hope to talk to you soon!

The Update

Right, yo everyone! Just thought I would update, as I am a bit bored, and well, I want to!

I think I'm settling into Uni life okay, cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing and that have been surprisingly mangeable thus far, I'm quite a tidy person anyway, and a bit of clean freak so it would seem, so it's all good. I've got my lectures worked out, and have shit loads of reading to do, but it is all very interesting, and I'm actually looking forward to writing a few of my essays (I'm doing Politics and Sociology btw).

Leeds is so cheap compared to where I'm from. For example, for £18, I got 7 alcopops, three shots, a cocktail, a mixer, a pint of beer and a taxi home! I was a slightly drunk (read- totally shitfaced). I've had to make a budget though, to make sure I don't run out of money, and I feel too responsible now. But it would be worse to starve to death! It's not too bad though, I can actually cook, I just don't make the hugest effort sometimes. Christmas presents are going to have to come out of my £20 'Pleasure Money' as I have called it, so people better appreciate what I get them this year!

Fiction: I have loads of other stories that need updating, so I'm not sure if I am going to let myself write another MCR one just yet, but I have ideas floating around, so who knows?

Gigs:

27th September - The Misfits (The Briefs as support, and some other band I can't remember the name of) Was actually immense.
16th October - Kids In Glass Houses (My mate said they were good!)
17th October - Fightstar (don't judge me please, not my idea)
11th November - My Chemical Romance (apparently support is Gerard's wife band, that is not going to go down well methinks)
25th November - The Taste of Chaos (with the winner of some band contest, The Blackout, Gallows, Aiden, Rise Against and The Used)
30th January - 30 Seconds to Mars

Oh Yesh :D

Anyways, comment me if you wanna talk, if anyone has Yahoo Messenger my user name is mutinousp, funnily enough.

Much love xx
